The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) has received requests for assessing whether the new train services that transport undertakings Flixtrain, Arriva, and Qbuzz have notified ACM of will jeopardize the economic equilibrium of the future main railway-network concession (2025-2033).
These concern the following requests.
On 22 June 2023, a request filed by the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (IenW) concerning the Dutch part of the following notified service:
Flixtrain – Rotterdam Oberhausen.
On 7 July 2023, a request filed by IenW concerning the Dutch part of the following notified service:
Arriva – Groningen Paris
Qbuzz – Amsterdam Eindhoven
On 7 July 2023, a request filed by Dutch Railways NS for the following notified service:
Arriva – Groningen Paris
Qbuzz – Amsterdam Berlin
Qbuzz – Amsterdam Paris
Qbuzz – Amsterdam Eindhoven
As long as ACM has not published a decision on the requests received, ACM will not comment on these requests.
