CA 2011 Annual Report

The Netherlands Consumer Authority (CA) in 2011 completed 112 investigations into national and cross-border consumer-law violations. Ten companies were imposed fines or orders subject to periodic penalty payments, totaling EUR 1,573,000. More than 2.3 million consumers visited the website of consumer information portal ConsuWijzer. For the second year running, ConsuWijzer was voted ‘Best Government Website’ by the Dutch public.
