NMa stops investigation into energy exchanges
The Netherlands Competition Authority (NMa) has stopped its investigation into APX and Endex, the two Dutch energy exchanges.
The NMa investigated possibly anti-competitive conditions in contracts between APX and Endex. These conditions stipulated that trading long and short term forward energy contracts required the energy exhanges' mutual assent. The exchanges both deleted the clauses under consideration from contracts while the investigation was ongoing. The NMa does not consider it expedient in this case to continue the investigation.
