NMa Appoints Peter Plug As Director of the Office of Energy Regulation

Mr P.J. (Peter) Plug has been appointed by the Executive Board of the Netherlands Competition Authority as the Director of the Office of Energy Regulation (DTe) as of 1 November 2005. Peter Plug will take over from Gert Zijl, who joined the Executive Board of NMa on 1 July of this year. Mr Plug has been the Acting Director of DTe since then and before this was the Deputy Director.

Peter Plug (36) has been employed by NMa since December 2003. Before this he worked for the consultancy firm Berenschot. He worked as a consultant and manager for Privatisation and Competition and was responsible for a large number of consultancy and research assignments on the interface between the market and the public sector.
