Vestia must send annual bills for heat and cold storage
Dutch housing corporation Vestia must send at least once a year a bill to 30 inhabitants of the town of Naaldwijk that have had heat and cold storage since 2014. These bills must clearly specify how much energy each household has consumed. The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) has given Vestia six weeks to organize this. After these six weeks, a periodic penalty payment of EUR 10,000 per week will kick in, up to a maximum of EUR 150,000.
These individuals had filed a complaint with ACM about the fact they had been given insufficient information from Vestia about the amount of heat they consumed.
