ACM welcomes Cateautje Hijmans van den Bergh as its newest board member

The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) is pleased to announce that the Dutch Council of Ministers on Friday appointed Cateautje Hijmans van den Bergh (1961) as Member of the Board of ACM. Ms. Hijmans van den Bergh was nominated for this position by Minister of Economic Affairs Henk Kamp. Her appointment will take effect on 1 January 2017.

The composition of the Board of ACM

In addition to Ms. Hijmans van den Bergh, the Board of ACM also consists of Chris Fonteijn (Chairman) and Henk Don. Ms. Hijmans van den Bergh will succeed Anita Vegter.  

Background

Ms. Hijmans van den Bergh worked in the financial sector and in strategic consulting for many years. She is currently the acting director of Dutch pension provider APG. From 1997 until 2014, Ms. Hijmans van den Bergh worked for consultancy firm Boer&Croon, where she was Chairman of the Board during her last three years there. Prior to that, she worked at Dutch bank MeesPierson for almost ten years. Ms. Hijmans van den Bergh earned her master’s degree in classical languages from Leiden University, and obtained an MBA degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
