Marcel Canoy joins ACM

Marcel Canoy has been hired by the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) as economic advisor. Mr. Canoy will be giving advice to the ACM team that is concerned with health care regulation. ACM is delighted with Marcel Canoy joining ACM. Chris Fonteijn, Chairman of the Board of ACM, adds: “Marcel Canoy is able to offer economic insights into health care in a refreshing and original manner such as with mergers and collaborations in the health care industry. Next year, ACM will be charged with additional regulatory tasks in health care. That is why it is good to bring in as much knowledge and insights about this sector as possible.”

Mr. Canoy holds a PhD degree in economics, and worked at, among other organizations, Tilburg University and at research firm Ecorys as Chief Economist. In addition, he also served as economic advisor at the think-tank of former President of the European Commission Manuel Barroso.
