Importance of Ex Post Evaluation of Competition Policy Enforcement at ACM
ACM Board Member Anita Vegter gave a presentation at the OECD conference of 26 October 2015, on the importance of ex post evaluation of competition policy enforcement.
The benefits of ex post evaluation for ACM are three-fold:
- accountability
- quality assurance and
- improving performance
In recent years, ex post analysis has benefited ACM in multiple cases, for example hospital mergers and mergers between supermarkets.The exchange of experiences and knowledge within the OECD can contribute to the improvement of ex post evaluations.
