Apple has adjusted its policy for dating apps, ACM to assess these adjustments
Apple has informed the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) that it has adjusted its policy for dating apps in its App Store. ACM had mandated Apple to adjust the conditions no later than 15 January 2022 so that, in their apps, dating-app providers could use other payment systems either next to or instead of Apple’s own payment system. In addition, dating-app providers should also be given the ability to refer to other payment options in their apps. ACM will now assess whether Apple meets the requirements that ACM had imposed. As part of that assessment, ACM will sit down with dating-app providers, among other interested parties.
