NMa approves KPN sale of broadcast towers to TDF
The Netherlands Competition Authority (NMa) has on 20 April 2007 granted permission for KPN's proposed sale of KPN broadcast towers to Télédiffusion de France (TDF).
This sale follows the NMa decision adopted on 6 March 2006 in case 5454/ KPN – Nozema Services. The decision approved the acquisition of Nozema Services by KPN, imposing a remedy that entailed the sale of broadcast towers used by KPN for analogue transmission of FM radio signals. It was stipulated that these were to be sold to a third party approved of by the NMa within two years of the decision at the latest.
