On January 7, 2014, the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) issued a commitment decision. With this commitment decision, ACM has accepted the commitments made by telecom companies KPN, Vodafone, and T-Mobile.
In the decision, ACM has not established any violation of the Dutch Competition Act, but the anticompetitive risks of certain practices are identified and explained. These risks are now eliminated by said commitments.
The commitments concern announcements that are made in the public domain about intended market behavior that harms consumers and that has not been finally decided on within the companies.
