Highest administrative-law court in the Netherlands confirms ACM’s method for setting maximum tariffs for electricity products
The Dutch Trade and Appeals Tribunal (CBb) ruled that ACM was right in setting maximum tariffs for two electricity products of Dutch energy supplier Nuon. The method used by ACM for assessing the maximum tariffs was allowed.
ACM will be able to protect heat consumers better against their suppliers. These consumers are completely dependent on their suppliers, and have no other choice.
ACM has ordered heat supplier Hydreco to make sure that residents of the Cronenborg residential complex are able to consume indoor heating at any given time. If it fails to do so, ACM will impose an order subject to periodic penalty payments.
